Complaints and Appeals


Upon receipt of a complaint in a prescribed form, Muthelo-BEE investigates such complaint submitted to it by any user of the verification results and appropriately addresses it with reasonable effort to resolve the complaint timeously.

The measured entity has the right to appeal any findings by Muthelo-BEE represented in the Verification documents insofar as it relates to the B-BBEE Status or B-BBEE Scorecard of the measured entity, subject thereto that:

The Fees have been paid in full and that there are no outstanding payments with respect to the agreement. The measured entity informs Muthelo-BEE of its intention to appeal the finding/s of the verification analyses in writing, within 14 business days of the presentation of the verification report and certificate to it.

The measured entity submits to Muthelo-BEE a written appeal which shall contain a detailed explanation of the nature of the appeal, as well as supplementary documented proof supporting the appeal.

Within five business days from receipt of the written appeal, Muthelo-BEE will provide the measured entity with a date at which the appeal will be heard.

Muthelo-BEE will inform the measured entity in writing if the appeal has been successful or not. If the appeal has been successful, Muthelo-BEE will undertake the necessary amendments to the verification documents and the amended report and certificate to the measured entity.
